For the historical preservation and renovation of this nine-story, 122-unit residential building in the District of Columbia, our team provided a full assessment of the building’s existing supplemental systems to ensure those systems meet or exceed energy-efficiency guidelines. We reconfigured the mechanical system to eliminate unsightly HVAC components; as a result, the façade of the building could be restored in a manner consistent with Washington, D.C.’s Office of Historic Preservation requirements. Site planning included center court improvements, the creation of a new tot lot and providing surface parking for the building staff.
